Categories  Action | Adventure Reviews with  Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Rafe Spall Release Date  7th Jun 2018  Filmography

Get ready for a thrill ride! The island from the previous movie contains some remaining dinosaurs. After a dormant volcano erupts, Owen (played by Chris Pratt) and Claire (played by Bryce Dallas Howard) try to rescue some of the remaining dinosaurs before the whole island gets destroyed. Rafe Spall plays Eli Mills (the assistant of Sir Benjamin). The supporting cast includes: the quirky and reliable Jeff Goldblum as Ian Malcolm, justice Smith as Franklin Webb, Daniella Pineda as Zia Rodriguez, James Cromwell as Benjamin Lockwood, Toby Jones as Mr. Eversol, Ted Levine as Ken Wheatley, BD Wong as Dr. Wu, Geraldine Chaplin as Iris, Isabella Sermon as Maisie Lockwood and Robert Emms as Tech Merc.

We start off 20 Miles off Costa Rica in an Island. A recovery crew is in an underwater vessel. They take a specimin of bone from a dead T Rex. Back on land a live T Rex chases a man. A giant sea creature eats the underwater vessel with the crew inside! Back at home, Ian Malcolm (from the previous movies played by Geoff Goldblum) testifies to the government that we should let this impending natural volcano eruption finish off the dinasaurs.

Claire (played by the stunning Bryce Dallas Howard) runs an office that is petitioning against the annihilation of the dinosaurs. Claire gets invited to a wealthy man's estate, Sir Benjamin. He started the research on Dinosaurs. The assistant of Sir Benjamin (Eli) wants to capture and save some of these island dinosaurs but he may have alterior motives.

Claire tracks down Owen (Chris Pratt). She wants him for this Rescue Op. She plans on leaving in the morning. Owen turns up inside the plane! They fly to the island. They enter Jurrasic World with assistance from some military guards. They first see a giant Brachiosaurus (one of the biggest ever dinosaurs around), a herbivore. It's an impressive scene and the CGI used here is almost undetectable. In fact all the dinosaurs appear to be real animals and the scenes with them and humans are seemless.

The lava spill scenes are some of the most spectacular in the movie. Franklin and Claire get chased by a T Rex. This begins the hard core action scenes. They run away. The volcano erupts. They escape in that cool spherical transport device from the first movie and they land in water. They nearly drown. Thrilling scenes here. They see that there is a boat leaving taking dinosaurs prisoners ( including "Blue" a small raptor raised by Owen) and they get on it. This movie is full of challenges (for the humans), one after the other, you wonder how are the protagonists going to survive! This is why I watch this franchise.

The rest of the movie is set in Sir Benjamin's estate where Eli and an Auctioneer plan on selling the improsoned dinosaurs. When the Indo Raptor escapes (an aggressive mutant prototype dinosaur) it provides the most suspensful scenes in the movie. Owen (now imprisoned with Claire) escapes and tries to stop the selling of the New Super Violent Indo Raptor. The IndoRapture's attacking speed is lightning. Its an aggressive animal. It hunts Owen, Dallas and the niece of Sir Benjamin.

Blue is much smaller but he still fights the Indo Raptor. It's Blue Vs Indo Raptor in a fight to the finish! Action packed doesn't begin to describe this movie! The odds are always stacked against them but Owen and Claire make a great team and come up with ingenious ways to survive.

All the Jurassic World movies have got some consistent elements.

"I guess viewers come and see these movies because Dinosaurs are such fascinating creatures. Part of this fascination has to do with their size and how different they are compared to the animals of today"
Chris Pratt brings comedic charm to this franchise and Bryce Dallas Howard is now at home with action scenes. The supporting cast was great too. Enjoy this thrilling and action packed 1hr 58min.
